Bryce Canyon Hoodoos    Bryce Canyon National Park, Utah

It's hard not to resist photographing the endless hoodoos from the canyon rim, especially when the landscape is alive with a morning or evening glow. The scene is a very popular one for hundreds of photographers. I wanted to find something a little different from the usual rim shots, so I took a walk down one of the many trails leading from the top. I wasn't dissapointed. The small twisted Ponderosa Pine backed by towering hoodoos worked exceptionally well for me. The small white cloud passing by was an added bonus.
