Cheewhat Giant    Pacific Rim National Park, Vancouver Island, BC, Canada

Canada's largest tree. This cedar may be large but it's not particularly easy to find. The trail head is marked by a piece of pink ribbon on the side of a logging road. The start of the trek is through uninspiring clear cut until you hit the Pacific Rim National Park boundary. However once inside the park the trees grow considerably in size and the scene quite inspiring. The Cheewhat giant is spectacular. A little hard to photograph as after all it is just a massive tree but well worth the effort to visit.
