Green Arches    Golden Ears Provincial Park, British Columbia, Canada

Love this small area in Golden Ears Provincial Park. The forest here was logged many years ago, evidence of some supreme giant trees that used to grow here can be found dotted around the area. The vine maples pictured here for me represent what I love about the coastal temperate rainforest, lots of green and hanging mosses. I find the forest super challenging to photograph, especially in this area as there isn't much other than lots of twisted branches and chaos. In this image I was primarily interested in the Red Cedar surrounded by the mass of green.
