Numa Ice    Kootenay National Park, British Columbia, Canada

A layer of snow and ice line the bank of the Vermilion river near Numa Falls. While I do enjoy photographing grand scenics with dramatic light I would have to say that the majority of my images portray compositions that are medium to close-up views with subtle light. What drew me to this scene is the subtle blues and layering of the different elements, snow, ice and water.
